sweating bath - rearranged #2

sweating baths - rearranged, initiated by Sabian Baumann in collaboration with Corinn Gerber, questions stereotypical notions of gender and common concepts of illness and healing. The prevailing, normative understanding of the body, which also in Baden is shaped by persisting colonial structures, is brought into conversation. Queer, Indigenous, and Two-Spirit identities are negotiated. Racism and fatphobia in our society will be critically discussed from the perspective of Black people and People of Color. The conversations are an attempt to develop visions applicable today. They can be heard and seen in sign language from April 21 to May 18, 2022, in the relaxation rooms of the Fortyseven wellness spa designed by Mario Botta.

FupaMagic is an educator, a prospective educational researcher specializing in educational psychology, and a multidisciplinary artist. In addition to her work in research on education with a specialization in inclusive education, inclusion, and the determinants of discrimination in educational settings, she works with photography, music, and performance art. She has lectured at "Heterogeneity and Inequality - Differentiation in Education and Consequences for Educational Inequalities" (educational sociology network), at the Science+Fiction Festival, leads reflection rooms on racism critique, and draws on several years of teaching with Black youth and learners of color, among others. She advocates intersectionally against anti-fat-bias and designs thematically diverse educational formats for age-heterogeneous groups.

Leslie Philbert is self-taught, moving between different communities and spending a lot of time thinking about health and healing. She currently works as head of production at the Tanzhaus Zürich. Previously, she worked as a case worker in social services for 10 years.
